About the World Scout Jamboree
The World Scout Jamboree (WSJ) is a global gathering of Scouts and Guides from every corner of the world. It’s a chance for young people and adult volunteers to build international friendships, discover new cultures, and take part in an inspiring programme of activities in a safe, inclusive, and sustainable environment.
The first Jamboree took place in Olympia, London, in 1920. Since then, it has been held roughly every four years in a different country, bringing together 14-17 year olds to share experiences, learn about the world, and try new adventures.
Most recently, in summer 2023, over 4,500 Scouts and Guides from across the UK travelled to Korea for the 25th World Scout Jamboree. The next Jamboree will be hosted in Gdańsk, Poland, in summer 2027.
